Les Pins PGI Côte du Lot is a dry white wine made solely from Sauvignon. It comes from a 0.4 ha plot of vines planted in 1989 on siderolithic sands and loamy clay soil.
During the harvest in September, the grapes are picked by hand and put into small crates before going into the pneumatic press. Here, the fruits are pressed in whole clusters gently and progressively. Winemaking and ageing are carried out in French oak barrels of 500 litres during five months, without added sulphites.
This wine, called Les Pins, bears the name of the vineyard’s plot surrounded by maritime pines and their resinous scent. The vines thrive under the shade of the trees of this natural Mediterranean barrier, bringing a crisp white Sauvignon with fresh and aromatic flavours to the greatest perfection.
