Les Voisins PGI Côte du Lot is a white Sauvignon made with overripe grapes picked by hand and carried in small crates during the September harvest. These berries grew on a small plot of 0.3 ha of vines planted in 1989 on siderolithic sands and loamy clay soil.

Once harvested, the clusters are crushed gently and gradually by a pneumatic press for juice extraction. The juices are vinified and aged in French new oak barrels holding a capacity of 500 litres for six months, before bottling. No sulphites are added, the winemaking process is done naturally, under our constant monitoring and tender loving care.

Produced by the grapes from the plot nearest to our neighbours — “voisins” in French — the name for this wine was quickly chosen. This slightly sweet wine is a tribute to Domaine de Bonaguil’s early wine production named Opale, a mellow wine very much appreciated locally.
