Les Cerisiers PGI Côte du Lot is a dry white wine made solely from Chardonnay. It comes from a 0.6 ha plot of vines planted in 1989 on flint, iron ore core and ferruginous clay soil.
It is the result of the September harvest during which the bunches of grapes are delicately hand-picked by the men and women of the estate. Then the whole and intact bunches are conveyed to the pneumatic press to be crushed gently and gradually. Vinification and ageing take place in 500-litre French oak barrels for five months. No sulphites are added, as for all the wines produced at Domaine de Bonaguil.
Many varieties of cherry trees surround the vines producing this wine, hence the name. The roots, flowers and fruit bring their delicate floral notes to this well-balanced Chardonnay wine.
